Bol remains in contention for Young Australian of the Year despite positive drug test

Olympian Peter Bol remains in the running to be named Young Australian of the Year tomorrow despite failing a drug test.
Bol tested positive for the banned substance EPO in a test done outside of a race last October.
The National Australia Day Council says while it is “aware of a potential anti-doping violation,” Bol has not been stripped of his nomination and remains in contention. 
He is nominated for mentoring, coaching, philanthropic work, and athletic achievements.
