Man, 32, fighting for life in Brisbane hospital after allegedly being punched by stranger outside bar in Dalby
A 32-year-old man fighting for life after allegedly being punched following an altercation with a stranger outside a bar in the Western Downs region of Queensland on Saturday morning.
Police said the two men began arguing on Cunningham Street in the rural town of Dalby, about 200kms west of Brisbane at about 1:15am.
One man then allegedly struck the other, causing him to fall to the ground and hit his head.
The victim – a 32-year-old Dalby man – has been airlifted to Brisbane’s Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.
A 33-year-old Capalaba man was located nearby and charged with grievous bodily harm.
He is expected to appear before Dalby Magistrates Court on Monday.
